Gambling WebsitesThis page lists useful gambling websites with unique, valuable content. Please note that we do not list websites that lack unique content, and we exercise editorial control over who we recommend here. We prefer to list sites that offer well-written and interesting content too. Also, if your link used to be here but isn't here anymore, it's probably because I moved it to another page. I like to link to resources from appropriate specific pages where I can. Contact me if you want to discuss where your site is placed. Use marketing code "BONUSINTERNETPOKER". Poker Bonus Codes HomePoker Bonuses Poker Promotions Poker Strategy More Poker Goodness From Poker Tomorrow From Other Sites Gambling Websites - Facts 1. Gambling websites are common, but good gambling websites are rare. The reason is that the online casino and online poker industries pay good commissions to affiliates, and players are worth so much that they're willing to pay top dollar for advertising. So many sites get launched that are nothing more than excuses to drive players and feature advertising. This site obviously features advertising too, but it's done with the intention of supporting top notch writing and content of interest to poker players. 2. Many gambling websites offer poor quality information. One way to gauge the quality of the information on a gambling website is looking at the percentage of content to ads. If ads make up 2/3 of the page, then you can probably assume that the 1/3 of the page that isn't advertising isn't very high quality. You can also gauge the quality of the information by the quality of the writing. You don't need a degree in English or journalism to recognize bad writing. And bad writing demonstrates contempt for your audience, which is usually a clue that the information is poor quality. 3. Some gambling websites offer good quality information and good writing with minimal advertising. I've tried to list a few of those types of sites here on this page. Another way to tell whether or not a site is offering accurate information is by looking at what kind of playing strategies the site recommends. If the site pushes any kind of money management or bet sizing system as a way to win at gambling, then it's a safe bet that a lot of the information on the site is going to be inaccurate. 4. Finding good gambling websites via a search engine can be tough, because it's a high profit industry, and wherever there are high profits, there are people exploiting search engine algorithms in order to make lower quality content rank. But finding sites that are worth visiting via recommendation is usually pretty easy. Once you've found one gambling website offering good quality information, you can usually find a list of recommended sites somewhere on their site. And those sites will in turn recommend more sites. 5. All gambling websites should be for your entertainment and education only. Gambling is supposed to be fun. If you're not having fun, you shouldn't be gambling anyway, and you probably shouldn't even be reading gambling articles. In fact, if you're a problem gambler, you'll be looking at an entirely different set of gambling websites altogether. |
