Latin American Poker Tour

PokerStars has made it clear that they are planning an "LAPT", or "Latin American Poker Tour". The European Poker Tour has proved to be incredibly popular, so tapping into the Latin America poker market in this way makes a lot of sense.

The Latin American Poker Tour will be played in 8 countries in 2008:

Ecuador
Peru
Venezuela
Dominican Republic
Puerto Rico
Panama
Colombia
Costa Rica

Like the European Poker Tour, the LAPT will close out the year with a Tournament of Champions. Players from all over the world are expected to compete in the Latin America Poker Tour.
