Bodog Poker WSOP Satellites and Qualifiers

Bodog Poker is sending 100 players to the WSOP in 2008. They're offering a minimum of 3 guaranteed World Series of Poker seats each week. The WSOP qualifiers started on February 4. Multiple satellites are offered daily with entries as low as $1.50.

Another related promotion from Bodog is the "Player's Choice" promotion. Winners of this promotion receive $12,000 which can be used to buy an entry into any land based poker event in the world. (Including the WSOP.) You can read more about that promotion here: Bodog Players Choice Promo.

PokerStars WSOP Satellites and Qualifier

PokerStars is famous for sending more players to the WSOP than any other online poker site. One reason that so many of the past WSOP champions are members of Team PokerStars is because of their aggressive WSOP qualifier offerings. And in 2008, PokerStars is going to aggressively send players to the World Series of Poker again.

The standard prize package for the winner of a PokerStars WSOP satellite is worth $12,500, which includes entry to the main event and $2500 for expenses. But PokerStars is also footing the bill for several nights' stay at the Palms hotel as part of their prize package. Supernova and Supernova Elite VIP players from PokerStars get a hotel room upgrade too.

Players who make it to a televised table will receive a $50,000 bonus from PokerStars, and players who make it to the final table can receive up to $1 million in additional bonuses from PokerStars.

2008 WSOP satellites are available as cash buy-in qualifiers, sit and go step tournaments, and FPP buy-in events. (FPP standing for frequent player points.)

PartyPoker WSOP Satellites and Qualifiers

Party Poker began their schedule of 2008 WSOP satellites on January 18. For as little as $1 players can compete in qualifiers to go to the World Series. Party Poker is giving away at least 2 seats a week. These seats are $12,000 packages that include spending money, accommodations, and the tournament entry fee.

The only drawback to the Party Poker WSOP promotions is their unavailability to USA based players.
